Meet the Healing Hands: Introducing Our Dedicated Team of Doctors
Dr. Andy Mtambo *Clinic Director
Dr Andy joined “We Care Medical Clinic” in August 2021. Originally from Zambia, Dr. Mtambo brings more than 20 years of medical experience as a Family Physician to the team.
He practiced medicine in Zambia for about six years and migrated to Canada in 2006, where he practiced in Saskatchewan and moved to BC in 2016. Before moving to Saskatchewan, Dr. Mtambo worked as the Clinical Trials Coordinator at BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDs. With a passion for clinical research in improving patient care, Dr. Mtambo firmly believes in providing evidence-based patient-centred care. He enjoys minor surgical procedures like removing small lumps, removing foreign bodies, repairing lacerations, wedge resection of ingrown toenails, incisions, and drainage of abscesses. Dr. Mtambo is fluent in English and several Southern African Languages.

Grew up in Vancouver and completed his medical training and medical residency in family medicine at the University of British Columbia. He strives to provide quality primary care in multiple settings. Outside of medicine, he enjoys running, hiking, travelling when able, and watching Survivor.

Dr. Ali joined We Care Medical Clinic in October 2021. Prior to joining Sullivan Medical, Dr. Ali practiced Family Medicine at a medical clinic in Fort St. John, BC where she treated patients with a wide range of medical needs, from various cultural backgrounds.
Known as a clear and empathetic physician, Dr. Ali believes in providing quality patient care tailored to the specific needs of the individual patient. Dr. Ali is a member of Doctors of BC, the Canadian Medical Association, and the College of Family Physicians of Canada. Having lived and practiced medicine in Bangladesh, South Africa, and Canada for over 20 years, Dr. Ali loves to travel and experience different cultures. Dr. Ali speaks English, Bengali, Hindi, Urdu, and Punjabi.

Dr Ajit K Baruah is an LMCC and ECFMG/ FSMB (Federation of State Medical Board )Certified MD. He has been in clinical practice in Family Medicine for more than 15 years and currently Practicing in Surrey,BC at Civic Family Health Centre.
Licensing Examination (USMLE).
He has been in clinical practice in family medicine for more than 14 years in different countries including India and Kenya (East Africa) and extensive externship postgraduate training in Florida, in the US.
